The Rise Of The Creative Writing Class

On the weekend, in The Australian, there was an article about the rise of the creative writing class by Tegan Bennett Daylight:

The piece mused  about a number of things I’ve written about recently, but at greater length and with far greater insight than I could have hoped to bring to the same job. It’s thought-provoking, wry and finely wrought in an understated way.

Students learn more from the teacher than the official lessons for each class, which was true in my case, but I would also add that students learn more from their fellow students than the writing tasks they all do and share and talk about.
